Plan Options: Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability
Disability insurance can help to replace a portion of your income when you are unable to work. For many people, unplanned time away from work can make it difficult to manage household costs. If you are unable to work due to a covered injury, illness, or even childbirth, Disability Insurance can provide an ongoing benefit to help keep your finances stable.
Notice for Employees in the First Year of Coverage:
If you are in your first year of disability coverage, please be aware that any claim may be denied if the disability is related to a condition for which you received medical advice, care, treatment, or prescription medication during the three months before your coverage began. This rule applies only to disabilities that begin within the first twelve months of your coverage.
