Paid Time Off (PTO)

Associates enjoy paid time off to balance work and personal life according to the following schedules.  Associates begin accruing PTO on day one.

For hourly/non-exempt associates:

  • First Day of Employment Through 12 Months (year 1):
    • The associate receives .02 hours of PTO for each work hour up to 40 hours/year.
  • Years 2 through 4:
    • The associate receives .039 hours of PTO for each work hour up to 80 hours/year.
    • Maximum accrual: 200 hours
  • Year 5 and beyond:
    • The associate receives .058 hours of PTO for each work hour up to 120 hours/year.
    • Maximum accrual: 200 hours

For salaried/exempt associates:

  • First Day of Employment Through 12 Months (year 1):
    • The associate receives .027 hours of PTO for each work hour up to 56 hours/year.
  • Years 2 through 4:
    • The associate receives .047 hours of PTO for each work hour up to 96 hours/year.
    • Maximum accrual: 200 hours
  • Year 5 and beyond:
    • The associate receives .0654 hours of PTO for each work hour up to 136 hours/year.

Maximum accrual: 200 hours

Holidays

Below is our holiday benefit:

Hourly associates will be paid one-and-one-half times their regular rate of pay for the actual hours worked on the following holidays, provided the majority of the scheduled shift is during the holiday.

Hourly Associate Holidays

  • New Year’s Eve
  • New Year’s Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Eve
  • Christmas Day

Salaried Associate Holidays

The following holidays qualify for holiday paid time off for salaried associates:

  • New Year’s Eve (after 3:00 p.m.)
  • New Year’s Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Day After Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Eve (after 3:00 p.m.)
  • Christmas Day

401K Plan

Woodbury Corporation provides a 401K retirement plan to all associates as least 21 years old to help prepare for retirement.  Woodbury matches 33% on the first 6% of each paycheck saved to the 401k! That’s up to 2% free money!  The matching money from Woodbury becomes yours over time.  At two years you own 20% and it goes up 20% every year.  After six years of service, you own 100% of Woodbury contributions.

Investing is simple.  You can build your own portfolio from the available investments in the plan or use the Target Date funds designed with an appropriate level of risk based on your age.

Associate Wellness Program

We offer a wellness program through our partner, Orriant. The program provides incentives to maintain healthy habits that contribute to your overall wellness.  With Orriant, you can compete in various challenges and earn rewards. Orriant offers recipes, resilience tips, a wellness seminar library, monthly newsletters, quarterly competitions, and the Orriant Rise Up podcast. The benefit is free and completely voluntary.

Associate Travel Discounts

Hotel associates plus family and friends can enjoy up to 75% off hotel room rates when staying at related hotels worldwide. For example, an associate working at a Marriott property for Woodbury Corporation can receive a significant discount when staying at another Marriott property.

Income From Tips

As a way to encourage guests to tip associates who provide excellent service, we partnered with the software company, E-Tip. Guests scan a barcode that takes them to an E-Tip site where they can easily send a tip to the associate they wish to reward.

Access Your Pay Early with DailyPay

We understand that unexpected things come up and you may need to get earned pay before payday. We have partnered with DailyPay where you can access a portion of earned base wages in advance of payday.

Associate Recognition

“Woody Awards” – A annual event with a day-long series of activities culminating in a banquet, is held to honor selected associates from all hotels who have demonstrated excellent performance and outstanding service to guests.

Length of Service Awards – associates are rewarded upon reaching certain longevity milestones in their career with Woodbury Corporation.

Annual BBQ – Associates and their families come together for a summer BBQ complete with activities, food, and lots of giveaways.
